About project
After five years of running a café in Gdańsk, the owner felt the need for change and further growth. Daily interactions with customers, hundreds of cups of brewed coffee, and the growing interest in its origin and quality sparked a desire to take the next step. Wanting to reconnect with the essence of his passion and gain a deeper understanding of the entire process, he made the decision to open his own coffee roastery.

Brand Identity Challange
The Fat Duck Coffee Roastery faced two key challenges:
To establish itself as a trusted source of high-quality coffee, sourced ethically and sustainably.
To create a recognizable, memorable brand image that is authentic, friendly, and at the same time distinctive.

Value Proposition
I proposed creating a brand that would resonate with coffee enthusiasts and stand out in a competitive market by offering not just a product, but a cohesive story and a strong visual identity. Drawing inspiration from the café’s location near Oliwa Park, I incorporated elements of local history and the ducks commonly seen in the park to give the brand a distinctive and authentic character.


Brand materials
The outcome of the project included the creation of a cohesive brand identity and packaging design for a line of whole bean coffee products. I also designed a series of custom stickers to distinguish different coffee varieties while maintaining a consistent visual language across the brand. In addition, I developed storefront window graphics and a typographic wall menu for the café, fully aligned with the brand’s identity and atmosphere.
The coffee brand achieved significant recognition, earning second place in the Barista of the Year competition. The products gained popularity both in Poland and in cafés abroad, contributing to the brand’s growing international presence.
